We just completed restoration and reupholstery of this beautiful vintage Van Treight lounge suite for Lindy from Terrey Hills. The suite originally belonged to Lindy’s parents and she wanted to create something special using Australian wool and a mix of vibrant colours and clean lines. The end result was perfect. We just repaired this Jens Risom model C140 Playboy armchair for Stephanie and Chris. Only a little job but an iconic chair all the same so I thought I should share it. The chair got its Playboy name after it was pictured in the 1961 July edition of Playboy magazine along with designer, Jens Risom and other iconic mid-century designers including Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Charles Eames, Edward Wormley and George Nelson. Jens Risom was a Danish American furniture designer and was one of the first designers to introduce Scandinavian design to America.

We just repaired this Jens Risom model C140 Playboy armchair for Stephanie and Chris. Only a little job but an iconic chair all the same so I thought I should share it. These chairs had multiple breaks and split backs and were falling apart when we received them. Sophie was very pleased at the result of our workmanship and she could not even find where the old breaks were on the backs. Fully reupholstered and covered in Scorpio Ink from Zepel.
